The things brides actually ask us

Answers before you have to ask.

Pulled straight from the questions our planners answer every week. If yours is not here, get in touch.

How it works How does it actually work?

Pick a region (Edinburgh, the Highlands, Bath, or the Cotswolds), tell us the vibe and dates, and your planner builds you a shortlist of houses and activities the bride will love. You confirm the group, everyone pays a £50 deposit individually, and we lock the booking. From there it is one point of contact through to the weekend.

How it works Why book with Flock instead of doing it ourselves?

You get a person who knows the houses and the suppliers personally, not a portal. We cherry-pick everything. Group payments are split individually so no one ends up chasing friends for money.

How it works What is your minimum group size?

Eight guests. Most of the houses we work with are sized for groups of 8 to 38, and the per-head pricing only really makes sense above that floor.

How it works Can we do a one-night stay?

Our properties have a two-night minimum. Most groups arrive Friday evening and leave Sunday afternoon. The minimum exists because the houses are set up for full weekends, not single nights.

How it works We have already sorted accommodation. Can you still help?

Yes. Tell us where you are staying, the group size, and the vibe, and we will build a bespoke itinerary of activities, dining, and add-ons around it. We have a strong supplier network across the UK.

How it works Do you cover regions outside your four cities?

Our houses are concentrated in Edinburgh, the Highlands, Bath, and the Cotswolds because those are the regions we know inside out. For groups looking elsewhere in the UK, we can still build an activities-only itinerary if you have your own accommodation. Anything beyond that is not really our wheelhouse.

Payments & deposits How do the individual payment plans work?

We share one booking link with the lead booker to pop into the hen party group chat. From there everyone signs up and pays their own £50 deposit to secure their spot. The balance then gets split into three monthly payday instalments. Your planner sets out the schedule before you book so everyone sees what is due and when. No surprise top-ups.

Payments & deposits Can the group pay on different schedules?

Everyone is on the same payment plan, lined up with monthly paydays so the instalments land at predictable times for the whole group. If a guest would rather just pay her share in full upfront and skip the schedule, that's totally fine. She pays the whole balance early and her plan is done.

Payments & deposits Can we split the bride's share between the group?

Yes. We divide her share evenly across the rest of the group and roll it into each guest's individual payment plan. She never sees a bill.

Payments & deposits How do I actually book?

Once you are ready, we send a hen party booking link to share with the group. Each guest signs up and pays their £50 deposit. The booking confirms the moment everyone has paid. If you want to lock the dates faster, the lead booker can pay all deposits upfront and recover them from the group.

Payments & deposits How long after enquiring do you reply?

We aim to reply within 24 hours, often faster. We may be a little slower on weekends when we're busy taking care of hens on their weekends, making sure everything is running smoothly.

Changes & cancellations What happens if someone in our group drops out?

Any payments they have made up to that point are non-refundable, because that money goes directly towards the fixed accommodation cost (which keeps the price lower for the rest of the group). They will not owe anything else. If their dropping out leaves a shortfall on the house, the remaining guests will be responsible for covering the difference before the booking date.

Changes & cancellations Can one guest just come for one night?

We totally get that not everyone can make the whole weekend. If a guest is only able to come for one night, we can work out a special price just for what they're joining in on. However, we do encourage everyone to stay for the full weekend where possible, as accommodation is a set cost shared by the group, meaning a shorter stay for one guest will affect the overall package price for the others. Plus, it makes the celebration even more special for the bride when all her hens are there to enjoy the entire weekend together.

Changes & cancellations What if we need to cancel the whole weekend?

Payments made up to that point are non-refundable. We pay our accommodation and activity suppliers on your behalf, so once the money has gone out it is gone. We will always advocate for our hens and try to secure a refund where we can. Where possible we will move the booking to a different date instead. For peace of mind we recommend taking out travel insurance.

Changes & cancellations Can we still make changes after we book?

We can usually accommodate changes up to six weeks before the hen weekend. After that point things are locked in: no guest additions, no major changes. Smaller tweaks (dietary requirements, activity timings) we will sort whenever we can.

Activities & the weekend itself Can you tailor activities to the bride?

Every package is bespoke. The packages on the site are starting points, not menus. If she wants pilates and picantes one morning and a private chef and a silent disco that night, we will build it.

Activities & the weekend itself What if something goes wrong on the day?

If something isn't quite right with your accommodation, activity, or experience, the best thing to do is let the relevant service supplier know straight away while you're still on your weekend. This gives them a chance to fix it in the moment and ensures you get the most out of your trip. Unfortunately, if we don't hear about any concerns until after the weekend has passed, it becomes much harder for us to assist you, as we won't have had the opportunity to address the issue in real-time.

Activities & the weekend itself Are houses ours exclusively?

Yes. Every house listed on the site is for exclusive group use. No shared lounges, no other guests, no surprise check-ins.
